More Time to Pay

Before signing up for a payment agreement, you may want to consider enrolling in one of our Payment Assistance Programs, which includes our Discount Rate program for income-eligible customers.
 

Payment Plans

Our payment plans allow you to spread your past-due amount over manageable monthly installments. We offer multiple repayment options depending on customer type and eligibility. The terms below are for Residential customers with active accounts. If your account has been disconnected, please call 1-888-211-1313 to determine what repayment options are available to you.

A deferred payment agreement (DPA) is a longer-term repayment plan with a fixed monthly installment amount added to your current charges.

  1. Regular Rate Residential Customers: 25% downpayment with the balance payable up to 6 monthly installments (plus your current bill). Click the "Enroll Now" button below to apply for this type of repayment plan.
  2. Discount Rate and Protected Customers: More lenient agreement terms may be available to you if you are enrolled in our Discount Rate program, are currently enrolled in a Special Protection (Serious Illness, Elderly, Infant) or have a Financial Hardship protection during the Winter months (November-March). These terms may not be available for self-service online, but you may call to discuss your options with a Contact Center agent at 1-800-322-3223.

A shorter term payment plan (Collection Arrangement) is also available. Usually, a minimum of 25% as a downpayment is required, with the remaining balance paid over 40 days. These payments would be in addition to your current bill but would be paid separately.

The Payment Assistance Bundle makes it easier to manage your monthly energy costs and pay down any past-due balance over a 12-month period. By enrolling in the bundle, you’ll gain access to these three programs:

  1. Deferred Payment Agreement: this allows you to spread out your past-due balance into future monthly payments. The plan requires a 10% down payment and a 12-month period to help you settle any accumulated balance.
  2. Automatic Monthly Payments: your payments will be automatically deducted from your bank account each month, so you never miss a due date.
  3. Budget Plan: this breaks down your annual energy costs into balanced monthly payments, making it easier to budget and plan your expenses.

If your account is eligible, you can enroll in the Payment Assistance Bundle online through My Account or by contacting our Customer Service team at 1-800-322-3223.

The Arrears Management Program (AMP), formerly known as the Forgiveness Program, is available to customers on income-eligible discount rates who have a balance of at least $300 that is more than 60 days past due.

  • If your account is still active, no down payment is required.
  • If your service has been shut off for non-payment, a down payment on the balance due is required.

We will determine your monthly bill amount based on your average energy usage. Then, you can begin a monthly payment plan. Learn more about the eligibility requirements for the Arrears Management Program.
