Help may be available to fix these issues and make your home safe and comfortable

You may qualify for no-cost home safety improvements. Please review the below eligibility requirements to see if you qualify:

  • Income eligibility is based on NYSERDA’s EmPower+ income guidelines.
  • For National Grid’s Metro New York customers, residing in a single-family home or a rental property of 4 units or less.
  • If you rent your home as your primary residence, your eligibility for this service will be dependent on landlord approval.

Pre-selected contractors will complete all services. Home safety improvements can be made only after you have applied to the EmPower+ energy efficiency program and complete a no-cost Health and Safety Assessment (HSA).
